I contacted Celia via email to let her know that I posted a response to her request for information regarding her marriage certificate. She contacted me via email and thanked me.

Maligayang pagdating, Celia. I'm not absolutely certain of this but I recall reading that the records from Saint Stephen's were transferred to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Parish Church of the Holy Child at 5200 North Broad Street, Philadelphia. The parish has a large Filipino membership. The church has a web site, and you probably can begin your research there. The pffice of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is another source of information, but the parish is probably the best route to follow.

I taught at the University of the Philippines College of Agriculture from 1965 to 1968.

I am not an alumni of St Stephens but this is the church I go to when I first came to the US in 1969. We were a group of nurses from the Philippines working at Temple university Hospital. Also, my husband & I got married in this church in 1972 & then moved on to our life in the military.. I still have some friends in Phila. Where they settled & would one day go back & visit my old stomping ground. I would like to know if I could get a copy of my marriage certificate back in 1972... or if you can direct me as to where to obtain a copy.. since we move a lot when my husband was in the military we have not had the chance to follow up. Thank You

Hope all of our Northern neighbors are surviving the winter well. I guess that old Phil hit it right on the head this year! You folks ever thought about hitting him on the noggin! Good Palm Sunday!
They are building more and more gated communities down here, so if you want you can move to Fl. I have pretty much enjoyed every minute of my 16 years down here. So much to do and so little time. Only time I haven't enjoyed was the 6 months before my Mary died and the year after. Doesn't seem like it's going on 5 years!
